We built this review from Legora's own website and its published EU General Terms and Conditions. Everything was checked October 15, 2026. Features and terms are vendor claims and change, so confirm with Legora.

What does Legora actually do?#
Per Legora's site, its platform includes:
- Agent: plans, carries out, reviews and delivers complex legal work, leaving judgment calls to the lawyer.
- Legal research across jurisdictions.
- Tabular review for extracting answers across many documents.
- Workflows for repeatable tasks.
- Editor, a Word add-in and an Outlook add-in, plus a mobile app.
- Portal for delivering work to clients.
Legora markets use cases for M&A, litigation, banking, tax and insurance, for both firms and in-house teams.
What this means for you: Legora aims to be a firm-wide AI workspace rather than a single-purpose tool, so it's an evaluation for practice leaders and IT, not just one lawyer.
How much does Legora cost?#
Legora doesn't publish prices (checked October 15, 2026); you book a demo. Per-seat figures circulating online come from competitors' blogs and couldn't be confirmed. Ask Legora directly for:
- Per-seat price and any seat minimum.
- Initial term length and renewal terms.
- What's included: research content, add-ins and Portal.
- Pilot options before a full commitment.
What are Legora's contract terms?#
From Legora's published EU General Terms and Conditions, paraphrased:
- Renewal: the agreement renews automatically for periods equal to the initial term unless you give written notice before it expires (we read this as at least 30 days for you; confirm the notice period with Legora).
- Fee changes: Legora can change fees for the next renewal term with at least 45 days' notice.
- No refunds and early termination: paid fees aren't refunded unless the terms say otherwise, and if you terminate without cause before the term ends, the remaining fees for the term become due immediately.
- No training: Legora won't use your confidential information to train or fine-tune AI models, and won't allow its subcontractors to.
- Usage data and feedback: Legora can use usage data (which excludes your content) to improve its services, sharing it with third parties only in aggregated, anonymized form, and can use your feedback freely without identifying you.
- Law and disputes: Swedish law, with arbitration through the SCC Arbitration Institute in Sweden.
What this means for you: these are the EU terms. US buyers should ask whether a US agreement is available, with US governing law and venue, before relying on any of the above.
How hard is Legora to set up?#
Moderate. Expect an enterprise rollout with training, workflow setup and security review. Legora publishes a security measures page for your IT team.
What do users say about Legora?#
We found too little credible independent user feedback to summarize fairly. Ask Legora for references at firms of your size and practice mix, and run your own documents through a pilot.
Buyer tips before you sign#
- Negotiate a pilot or early-exit clause.
- Ask whether a US agreement is available, since the posted terms are EU terms, and ask about data residency.
- Calendar the renewal notice deadline and watch for the 45-day fee notice.
- Confirm seat minimums and price directly with Legora.
- Test on real matters during a pilot.
Pros and cons#
Pros
- Broad platform: agent, research, review, workflows.
- Office add-ins and a client portal.
- Broad no-training clause covering subcontractors.
- Practice-specific use cases.
Cons
- No published pricing.
- Early termination accelerates fees.
- Only EU terms published.
- 45-day renewal price notice.
