Everlaw Review (2026): Cloud eDiscovery With Built-In AI

Verdict at a glance

Recommended for

Litigation teams, firms and government bodies with recurring, document-heavy discovery.

Bottom line

A strong choice for teams with recurring, substantial discovery. Clear out closed matters before the 1st, export before the term ends, and calendar the 30-day non-renewal deadline.

A cloud eDiscovery and litigation platform covering ingestion, review, productions, analytics, AI and case building, with unlimited user licenses and onboarding, support and data migration included. Pricing isn't published and is based on platform usage. Under its customer terms, documents on the platform any part of a month count for that month, and all access, including to case materials, ends when the term does.

Not for

Firms with small, occasional discovery, and buyers who want published prices.

Pricing from

Quick answer

Bottom line: Everlaw is for litigation teams, firms and government bodies with recurring, document-heavy discovery. Prices aren't published; quotes are based on platform usage (checked October 15, 2026), and we found no published free trial (confirm with Everlaw). The traps: any documents on the platform during any part of a month bill as a full month, even if you delete them mid-month, and all access, including to your case materials, ends when the term ends. The plan also auto-renews unless you give 30 days' notice.

Everlaw is a cloud eDiscovery and litigation platform: cloud connectors and processing, review, redaction, productions, predictive coding, an AI suite (Deep Dive Q&A, coding suggestions, Writing Assistant, translation) and Storybuilder for building the case. Onboarding, standard support and data migration are included, per Everlaw. Everlaw says plans include unlimited user licenses, and batch AI actions use credits. Delete closed matters before the 1st and export before the term ends.

What does Everlaw actually do?#

Per Everlaw's site and pricing grid:

  • Ingestion and processing: cloud connectors for Microsoft 365, Zoom and Google Workspace, plus audio and video transcription.
  • Review and productions: batch redactions, native spreadsheet and video redactions, email threading, and productions with clawbacks.
  • Analytics: predictive coding, concept clustering and communication visualization.
  • AI: Deep Dive for plain-language questions across documents and transcripts, coding suggestions, a Writing Assistant, and machine translation in 100+ languages.
  • Case building: Storybuilder timelines, deposition and transcript tools, fact management and legal holds.
  • Security: SOC 2 Type 2, FedRAMP Moderate and GovRAMP Moderate are listed.

What this means for you: discovery, review and case preparation sit in one platform, so facts found in review flow straight into timelines and deposition prep.

How much does Everlaw cost?#

Everlaw doesn't publish prices (checked October 15, 2026). Its pricing page lists features by plan and says plans include:

  • Unlimited user licenses.
  • Onboarding and implementation, online training, standard support and standard data migration.
  • AI credits for batch actions. Several AI features are credit-free when used on a single document.

Ask for a quote that spells out the usage measure, the rate, any minimum, and the credit allowance and per-credit price for batch AI.

What are Everlaw's contract terms?#

From Everlaw's customer terms of service, paraphrased:

  • Auto-renewal: unless the order form says otherwise, the subscription renews unless either side gives written non-renewal notice at least 30 days before the term ends.
  • Fee changes: Everlaw can raise or add fees for services you use with 30 days' written notice before a renewal term.
  • Late payment: overdue amounts can accrue interest of 1.5% a month (or the legal maximum, if lower).
  • Termination: when an order form ends, all access to the service ends, including access to case materials.
  • AI: Everlaw won't use your inputs or outputs to train or fine-tune a generative AI model for general use, and you keep the rights to them. Everlaw does get a license to use case materials to provide, support and improve the service. Outputs should be reviewed by a person before you rely on them.

How hard is Everlaw to set up?#

Low to moderate. Onboarding is included, and many users find basic review easy to pick up. Advanced search, analytics and custom productions take more training.

What do users say about Everlaw?#

Users generally praise the review interface, fast uploads and processing, responsive support and Storybuilder for timelines and deposition prep, and several find it easier to learn than older platforms. Common frustrations are search syntax that takes training, cluttered screens, awkward deduplication and complex productions, and cost for very small firms. One user reported being billed for hosting both original documents and the copies created for productions; ask Everlaw how productions count toward usage.

Buyer tips before you sign#

  1. Clear closed matters before the 1st of each month.
  2. Export before the term ends, and negotiate a retrieval window.
  3. Calendar the 30-day non-renewal deadline, and watch for fee notices before renewal.
  4. Get the batch AI credit allowance and price before using AI at scale.
  5. Confirm how usage is measured on your quote, including whether produced copies count toward hosting (confirm with Everlaw).

Pros and cons#

Pros

  • Unlimited users, with onboarding and migration included.
  • Built-in AI, with credit-free single-document use for several features.
  • Strong redaction and production tools.
  • No general-model training on your inputs or outputs.

Cons

  • No published prices.
  • Partial-month billing rule.
  • Access ends at termination.
  • Batch AI uses credits.

How does Everlaw compare?#

Relativity is the long-established enterprise platform. DISCO is another cloud platform with built-in AI. Logikcull and Nextpoint target firms that want simpler or more predictable pricing for smaller matters.
