Verdict at a glance

Recommended for

Litigation teams that want cloud eDiscovery with generative AI included in the hosting rate.

Bottom line

A good fit for litigation teams that want AI summaries and Q&A without metering. Lock rates in the order, watch for price notices before renewal, and export before the term ends.

A cloud eDiscovery platform with search, review, depositions, timelines and legal holds. The per-GB rate on processed data includes unlimited use of Cecilia, DISCO's generative AI, and Auto Review, its AI first-pass review, is priced per document. Prices aren't published. Under its terms, subscriptions renew yearly, price notice can be a website posting, and data is deleted after the term ends unless you retrieve it first.

Not for

Small matters where per-GB hosting adds up, and buyers who want published prices.

Quick answer

Bottom line: DISCO is for litigation teams that want cloud eDiscovery with generative AI included in the hosting rate. Prices aren't published: DISCO quotes a per-GB rate on processed data plus a per-document charge for Auto Review (checked October 15, 2026), and we found no published free trial (confirm with DISCO). The traps: subscriptions renew yearly unless you give 30 days' notice, a price increase can be announced simply by updating DISCO's website, and your data is deleted after the term ends unless you retrieve it first. We found no clause promising your data won't train AI models, so ask for one in writing.

DISCO is a cloud eDiscovery platform covering search, review, deposition management, timelines and legal holds. You pay a per-GB rate on processed data, and DISCO says that rate includes unlimited use of Cecilia, its generative AI for Q&A, document and deposition summaries and timelines. Auto Review, its AI first-pass review, is priced per document. Under DISCO's terms, fees can rise at renewal on 30 days' notice, which can be a posting on DISCO's website.

What does DISCO actually do?#

Per DISCO's site:

  • eDiscovery platform: filters, search builder and search visualization.
  • Cecilia AI: Q&A across a matter or a single document, document summaries, deposition summaries and automatic timelines.
  • Auto Review: generative AI first-pass review with explanations for its tags. DISCO markets high speed and accuracy compared with human reviewers. Those are DISCO's own claims, not independent results, so validate Auto Review on your own documents.
  • Depositions and timelines for case preparation.
  • DISCO Hold for legal holds, plus professional document review services.

What this means for you: because Cecilia is included in hosting, you can use AI summaries and Q&A on every matter without tracking credits.

How much does DISCO cost?#

DISCO doesn't publish prices (checked October 15, 2026). Its pricing page describes two charges:

  • Platform: a per-GB rate on processed data, including eDiscovery features and unlimited Cecilia AI.
  • Auto Review: a per-document charge.

Ask for these in writing: the per-GB rate for active and archived data, any monthly minimum, the overage rate, and which support or processing tasks are billed separately. Under the terms, usage above your subscribed volume is priced at the order's schedule or DISCO's then-current standard rates.

What are DISCO's contract terms?#

From DISCO's terms and conditions, paraphrased:

  • Renewal: subscriptions run for the initial term in the order, then renew for one-year periods unless either side gives written notice at least 30 days before the period ends.
  • Price increases: DISCO can raise fees for a renewal period with at least 30 days' notice. Notice can come by email, in the product, or by posting updated pricing on DISCO's website.
  • Transactional plans: price changes take effect immediately on notice, or on a later date in the notice, and DISCO can stop offering non-subscription services at any time on notice.
  • Data at the end: you're expected to retrieve your data before the term ends. Afterward, DISCO deletes it under its standard practices.
  • AI: DISCO's AI supplementary terms say you own your content, that any service level agreement doesn't apply to AI services, and that AI output may be inaccurate or biased. We found no clause saying your data won't be used to train AI models, including third-party AI providers' models. Ask DISCO to put a no-training commitment in writing, in the order or data processing agreement.

How hard is DISCO to set up?#

Low to moderate. It's a cloud platform, and DISCO offers onboarding and professional services. Plan time to learn the search builder and to validate Auto Review on a sample set.

What do users say about DISCO?#

The feedback we found is limited and only partly verified, so treat it as a guide. Users generally describe a fast, intuitive interface with easy tagging and useful AI. Complaints tend to center on search that feels less advanced than older platforms, clumsy bulk actions, less admin flexibility, and cost on small matters, including a reported monthly minimum (confirm with DISCO).

Buyer tips before you sign#

  1. Get the per-GB rates for active and archived data in writing, and ask whether there's a monthly minimum (one user report mentions $500; confirm with DISCO).
  2. Watch for price notices before renewal, including on DISCO's website.
  3. Lock transactional rates in the order.
  4. Export before the term ends.
  5. Ask for a no-training commitment in writing, in the order or data processing agreement, covering any third-party AI providers.
  6. Validate Auto Review on a sample before relying on it.

Pros and cons#

Pros

  • Unlimited Cecilia AI in the hosting rate.
  • Auto Review for first-pass review.
  • Depositions, timelines and holds in one platform.
  • Professional services available.

Cons

  • No published prices.
  • Website posting can count as notice.
  • Immediate price changes on transactional plans.
  • Data deleted after the term.
