CloudLex Review (2026): Personal Injury Only, AI Included, Two Deadlines to Diary

CloudLex is case management for personal injury firms only, with an AI layer called Lexee for intake, demand drafting, and medical summaries, some of it reviewed by human experts. Pricing is quote-only. Two contract windows matter: 10 days to opt out after a price notice, and 30 days to export for free.

Quick answer

Bottom line: CloudLex is for personal injury firms only that want case management, AI drafting help, and optional human services from one vendor. Pricing is quote-only (no published prices, per CloudLex, checked October 15, 2026), and we found no published free trial, so ask for a demo. The contract trap: subscriptions auto-renew, and after a renewal-price notice you get only 10 days to opt out. If you leave, you get 30 days of free export, then a fee, then deletion at 90 days.

What you get: PI case management (matters, parties, texting, eFax, email, tasks, workflows, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365, Google, Dropbox, and e-signature integrations) plus Lexee, its AI layer for intake, demand drafting, and medical summaries, with optional expert review.

What does CloudLex actually do?#

  • Case management for personal injury: matters, parties, notes, texting, eFax, email, expenses, tasks, calendar, and workflows.
  • Integrations: Word, Teams, Outlook, Gmail, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, DocuSign, Adobe Sign, QuickBooks Online, and Uber (for client rides).
  • Lexee AI: intake capture, a 24/7 client web assistant, demand drafting and medical summaries and timelines (with expert review options), chat with your case, and voice-to-task.
  • Human services: paralegal support and medical-record retrieval.
  • Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure hosting with geo-redundant backups and single sign-on.

How is CloudLex priced?#

CloudLex says it doesn't publish standard per-user pricing. It quotes by package, users, intake, storage, integrations, AI, and services, and calls third-party price listings unauthorized estimates. Packages are named on its pricing page without prices.

What this means for you: Get a written quote that breaks out the case management package, AI, and any human services. For AI demands and medical summaries, ask which include human expert review and what each costs per item (confirm with CloudLex). Lexee has its own terms of service; ask for a copy and read its data-use terms before client files go in.

What are CloudLex's terms?#

  • Auto-renewal for successive terms at your original price, unless CloudLex notifies you of a change.
  • 10-day opt-out. After a renewal-fee notice, you have only 10 days to give notice of non-renewal.
  • Paid in advance, with no refunds or credits for partial months, plan changes, or unused months. Third-party modules are billed separately.
  • Data exit. After cancellation you get 30 days of free access to export. For the next 30 days, access requires a one-time migration fee. CloudLex has no obligation to keep data after 60 days and deletes it at 90.
  • Ownership. You're the exclusive owner of your data; CloudLex accesses it only to provide and fix the service, comply with law, or at your request.

How hard is CloudLex to set up?#

Moderate. CloudLex says its packages include onboarding, training, and data import. The firm-side work is mapping your intake, treatment, and demand stages to its workflows and deciding which AI outputs get attorney review before anything goes out.

What do users say about CloudLex?#

Feedback is mostly positive but thin. Users generally describe CloudLex as easy to use for PI work and praise its support and Microsoft integrations. Common complaints include occasional lag, repetitive data entry, limited customization and reporting, and no native iPad app. Ask for references at PI firms your size.

Pros and cons#

Pros

  • Personal injury focus throughout.
  • AI with expert review options for demands and medical summaries.
  • Record retrieval and paralegal services available.
  • Clear data ownership.

Cons

  • No published pricing.
  • 10-day opt-out after price notices.
  • No refunds for partial or unused months.
  • Export window is short before fees apply.

How does CloudLex compare with CASEpeer, Filevine, and SmartAdvocate?#

CASEpeer and SmartAdvocate are also personal injury case management systems. Filevine is broader case management used across litigation practices. CloudLex's difference is bundling AI drafting and human services with the case management.
