CasePeer Review (2026): Personal Injury Case Management with Published Prices

CasePeer is case management built for one practice area, personal injury, and it shows in the details: treatment tracking, liens, settlement negotiations. Prices are published. The fine print lives in 8am's terms, not CasePeer's pricing page.

Verdict at a glance

Recommended for

Personal injury firms that want a PI-specific system at a published per-user price.

Bottom line

If your firm is mostly personal injury, CasePeer belongs on the shortlist; price Pro for intake and AI, Advanced if you need the API, and get migration and e-signature costs in writing.

Purpose-built PI case management with medical treatment, lien and settlement tracking, PI reporting, and 8am IQ AI on Pro and Advanced. Published monthly prices of $90 to $160 per user; e-signature and data migration cost extra, API access is Advanced-only, and 8am's terms don't refund mid-period seat cuts or downgrades.

Not for

Multi-practice firms, and firms that need e-signature included in the base price.

Pricing from

$90/user/month (casepeer.com/pricing, vendor claims checked 2026-10-15)

Pros

  • Built for PI: medical treatment tracking, settlement negotiations, statute alerts, high-value case tracking (casepeer.com/pricing)
  • Published per-user prices, with no setup fee or long-term contract, per CasePeer (casepeer.com/pricing)
  • Guided implementation included on every tier (casepeer.com/pricing)
  • 8am IQ AI writing help on Pro and Advanced (casepeer.com/pricing)

Cons

  • E-signature is an add-on on every tier (casepeer.com/pricing)
  • Data migration is optional and priced separately (casepeer.com/pricing)
  • API access only on Advanced ($160/user/month) (casepeer.com/pricing)
  • 8am terms: no refunds for early termination, fewer users or downgrades; possible extra fees above usage thresholds (8am terms of service)

Quick answer

Bottom line: CasePeer is for personal injury firms that want PI workflows out of the box. Published prices are $90, $130 and $160 per user per month (vendor claims, checked October 15, 2026), with e-signature and data migration extra. CasePeer offers demos; whether a free trial is available isn't stated, so confirm with CasePeer. The trap is the gap between "cancel anytime" and the 8am terms: subscriptions auto-renew, and seat cuts, downgrades and early exits aren't refunded mid-period. If you plan API work, price the Advanced tier from the start, and ask for the AI usage thresholds in writing.

CasePeer is case management software built specifically for personal injury firms: medical treatment tracking, settlement negotiations, statute alerts, case expenses and PI-specific reports. Published prices are $90 (Basic), $130 (Pro) and $160 (Advanced) per user per month, and CasePeer says there's no long-term contract or setup fee. Two things cost extra on every tier: e-signature and data migration. CasePeer is an 8am product, a sibling of MyCase and LawPay, so its contract is the 8am Terms of Service, which auto-renew and don't refund seat cuts or downgrades mid-period. A natural fit for PI-focused firms. Firms with several practice areas should look at a general platform.

  15. How we reviewed

We built this review from CasePeer's own pricing page, the 8am Terms of Service and our overall reading of public user feedback. Everything was checked October 15, 2026. Prices are vendor claims and change, so confirm with CasePeer.

What does CasePeer actually do?#

General practice management tools treat a PI case like any other matter. CasePeer is organized around what actually moves a PI case: treatment, damages, liens and the negotiation. From CasePeer's pricing page:

  • Basic: case and contact management, tasks, calendaring, automated statute alerts (reminders before a statute of limitations runs), medical treatment tracking, settlement negotiations, case expense tracking, client trust tracking, a client portal and unlimited document storage.
  • Pro: everything in Basic, plus client intake management, unlimited two-way texting (clients can send images, which is handy for injury photos), case stage screens, litigation event plans, 50+ additional reports, 20+ integrations and 8am IQ, 8am's AI writing assistant.
  • Advanced: everything in Pro, plus scheduled texts, data sync for outside reporting, a multi-office reporting suite, an intake investigator portal, case grades and API access.

Integrations listed include LawPay, Lead Docket, Case Status, CalendarRules, Dropbox, Mailchimp and Captorra, among others. CasePeer says data is hosted and backed up on Amazon Web Services.

What this means for you: Pro is where CasePeer becomes an intake-to-settlement system. Basic is case tracking without the intake, texting and AI that most growing PI firms end up wanting.

How much does CasePeer cost?#

From casepeer.com/pricing (vendor claims, checked October 15, 2026). Only monthly prices are shown:

CasePeer published plans

Your bill depends on how many active users are on the account. CasePeer's FAQ says there's no long-term contract or setup fee, that tier changes are prorated, and that you can cancel at any time. Guided implementation and on-demand training are included. Data migration is listed as optional without a price; ask for a written quote.

A quick sanity check: a five-person PI team on Pro is $650 a month before e-signature and migration. On Advanced it's $800.

What are CasePeer's contract terms?#

CasePeer's legal link goes to the 8am Terms of Service, which cover all of 8am's products. Paraphrased:

  • Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or annually depending on your order, and you're charged on the renewal date unless you cancel in time.
  • No full or partial refunds if you end before the term expires, drop users, downgrade your tier, or don't use the service as much as you expected. Forgetting to remove a departed employee's seat isn't refunded either.
  • Extra fees can apply if you have an exceptionally high number of users, an unusually high rate of support tickets, or usage of certain features (such as 8am IQ's Discovery Assistant) above thresholds set on the pricing page or your order. 8am says it will notify you in writing first.

So both things are true: CasePeer says there's no long-term contract and you can cancel anytime, and 8am's terms auto-renew and don't refund the rest of a period you've paid for. On a monthly plan that difference is small. On an annual order, it's a year.

How hard is CasePeer to set up?#

Moderate. Guided implementation is included, and because CasePeer comes with PI workflows built in, there's less to design from scratch than in a fully configurable platform. The effort is mostly migration: moving open cases, treatment histories, lien records and documents from your current system. Get that quote in writing early, with what's included (documents? notes? closed cases?) spelled out.

What do users say about CasePeer?#

We read public user feedback and looked for patterns. Users like the PI-focused workflows, client texting, document management and deadline tracking. Common complaints are limited customization and templates, occasional slowness and search problems, and per-user pricing. Support gets mixed reviews: some find it responsive, while others say it's hard to reach a person.

Buyer tips before you sign#

  1. Budget e-signature and migration separately. Neither is in the per-user price.
  2. Ask for the 8am IQ usage thresholds in writing before your team leans on the AI, since 8am's terms allow fees above them.
  3. Choose monthly first if you're unsure, and confirm what renewal period your order uses.
  4. Audit users monthly. Seat cuts aren't refunded mid-period, and forgotten seats keep billing.
  5. Use the demo to walk one real case from intake to settlement, including a lien and a treatment gap.

Pros and cons#

Pros

  • PI-specific design: treatment, settlement, statutes, high-value case tracking.
  • Published prices, no setup fee per CasePeer.
  • Guided implementation included.
  • AI writing help on Pro and Advanced.

Cons

  • E-signature and migration cost extra.
  • API only on Advanced.
  • 8am terms don't refund downgrades, seat cuts or early exits.
  • Single practice area, so mixed practices outgrow it.

How does CasePeer compare?#

Filevine is more configurable and has deposition and medical chronology AI, but it's quote-only and comes with a separate implementation contract. SmartAdvocate is another PI and litigation case management system worth pricing side by side. MyCase, CasePeer's 8am sibling, suits firms that handle PI alongside other practice areas.

Who should use CasePeer?#

FAQ#

How much does CasePeer cost?#

Basic is $90, Pro $130 and Advanced $160 per user per month (casepeer.com/pricing, vendor claims checked October 15, 2026). E-signature is an add-on and data migration is quoted separately.

Does CasePeer require a long-term contract?#

CasePeer says no long-term contract or setup fee is required. Its subscriptions run under the 8am Terms of Service, which renew automatically and don't refund early termination, fewer users or downgrades within a period.

Does CasePeer have AI?#

Yes. Pro and Advanced include 8am IQ, an AI writing assistant for drafting, summarizing and editing. 8am's terms allow extra fees for usage of certain features above published thresholds, so ask for those numbers.

Does CasePeer have an API?#

Only on the Advanced tier.

Is CasePeer only for personal injury?#

It's built for PI firms, including mass tort tracking on its feature list. Firms with several practice areas will usually be better served by general practice management software.

Is any of this sponsored?#

No. If that changes, the listing will be labeled "Sponsored," and payment won't change the verdict.
